Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask theBuddha, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I have piloted a Cessna 150 several times but not since the early 90s LoL

Shit, we're can get that fucker in the air pretty easily. I can even do some of the pre-flight for something that easy to fly.

My buddy once let me take off in a similar Cessna while pulling back on the yoke. In my head, that made sense. Gotta go up! So, that means the yoke goes back!

Nope... You're supposed to leave the yoke in the neutral position until you're off the ground with sufficient air speed. Otherwise, you risk stalling and not even getting off the ground.

Point being, those planes are so easy to fly that you can get away with that sort of mistake and it's still gonna get you in the air. We were in no danger of crashing. We were in no danger of stalling, though we were probably approaching the stall point.

Hell, I've landed similar planes.

We'll be fuckin' fine!

(I am gonna recommend that you not fly with me until I have both a license and a bunch of hours.)

If I show up in a car and say 'get in', you should get in.

If I show up in a plane (as the pilote) and say 'get in', you should give me the finger.

I would even be frightened to get in a car with you, much less an airplane!

I know you are going to make it go fast

LOL I can keep it slow. The wheels might say we're doing 120 mph, but that's just 'cause they're not getting any grip!

And, I am pretty sensitive to my passenger's needs. I make sure they feel comfortable. We won't go that fast until after you're comfortable and until after you understand that I have complete control of the vehicle. I want my passenger to be confident and to have a good time. If their eyes are closed and they're screaming, that's just gonna distract me!

On the inside of the car, you can also see how it is I manage to do what I do. A lot of it is concentrating on how the car is balanced at any given point of time. The goal being able to make the car dance on the head of a pin!

I'd probably pick something with a 5 point restraint harness, so that you feel bolted into the car.

Shit, my daughter lets me take my granddaughter for drives. So, I'm pretty aware of my passenger. There's plenty of fun to be had at lower speeds, assuming you have the car for it.
