I kinda miss traveling. I haven't done any decent traveling in 5 or 6 years.

I've got the missus now, so traveling would be kinda fun.

I'd have to forgo my online obligations. If I'm traveling the world, I'm not gonna check in to open a guitar thread on Friday nights. I'm not going to write my linux-tips.us (don't visit and click today, thanks) articles, I'm not gonna test Lubuntu, and I'm not gonna moderate linux.org.

I'm okay giving up those things to travel again, but I'm getting kinda old and the hassles are high. Still, I have a few more places I've never been. I want to go to remote India, I want to visit the Ivory Coast countries, I want to spend some time in southern Argentina. The list goes on.

I've been all around the world, but there are places I've never been.

it is a big world. you could always take a trip for a month and come back home and say hi to the online world again

Yeah, but my obligations require a more constant attention.

I figure at some point I'll just say fuck it and tell everyone I'm on vacation. Anyone that doesn't like it can fuck off. If they want to rescind my various positions they can do so.

The site would be fine. The linux.org folks would be fine. I'd probably be okay with lubuntu.me folks, but that's a lot of testing I'd have missed. It's more than just testing, so I'd have to catch back up. I could do that.

The FNGT would just have to fuck off until I return. Someone else would have to keep it up and running. If not, fuck it and that'd be the end of the thread.

I could do a month, but that's such a short time when you're on a good adventure.

I kinda want to take the missus to dance all night in a bikini in Ibiza. She'd like that. That's a good two weeks just in one stop. Gotta show her the island life.
