they would probably gave you life too
Oh, fuck yeah... At the time, I was a pretty heavy opiate user - a few years after retiring. Heroin there came largely in pill form mixed with who knows what, including meth - which is just absurd. The two drugs shouldn't be mixed. I was eventually able to secure a fairly good chunk of black tar and that worked for me. Thailand only let me bring in 3 days worth of medication and then I'd have to get a prescription from a local doctor. In theory, some of the doctors are corrupt, but the person advising me suggest I not try that as a short term tourist. They told me that would likely be a sting operation, as the doctor would call the police.
If I was gonna be there for months on end, then I should have spent the time doctor shopping, paying about a $500 to find a doctor that would hook me up long term. I kinda wanted to do something like that, 'cause you could rent a bungalow on the beach for like $75 a month.
Thailand is fucking beautiful.
i doubt the prisons are beautiful
No, no... They're fucking horrible. If you get caught selling drugs, the penalty is not negotiable. The penalty is life in prison.
I ain't even kidding. Thailand is a monarchy, ruled by a literal king. What the king says, the laws do.
It does look like they changed the ball and chain thing in 2013. That was after I visited. I've only been there once.
