There are indeed some. One that I found was from Steinberger. It makes sense that they'd do that.

On the other hand, it looked like a nightmare to string it up - and it has some sort of proprietary strings on it that have balls on both ends. I wouldn't even begin to know where to find new strings for it.

Yup. Balls on both ends. On the saddle end, you have to hook the balls over tiny pins that hold it in place. It's fucking absurd.

I kinda want it. I'm not gonna pay like 7k for it, however.

Also, they did not make many of them - from some quick reading. It's seriously absurd.

I do kinda want it. It's just so absurd. I could never play it, really. I have no fucking idea how to replace the strings - or where to find them. Plus, I really don't want to spend 6 hours restringing that.

Seems like any 12 string would be a pain in the ass to me
