I have heard a lot of bad things about the place online
Some suck, but now they do a like 40 point inspection and have guitar techs on site. So, I guess it is improving.
On that note, I'm gonna head to bed.
I have heard people online saying they don't set up the guitars at all, they don't even tune them, but who knows, maybe they are paid by a competitor
They only do the inspection on guitars that cost over x-amount. (I am too lazy to look it up.)
Otherwise, you can pay for them to do a set up. I can't imagine why it'd matter if they're tuned. People come through playing guitars all day, keeping all of 'em tuned would be quite a chore. Tuning your guitar is your responsibility.
Hell, often they don't sell you the one on the wall. They go out back and bring you a new one that's still in the box. You should open it there and inspect it yourself - unless it's valuable enough that they do it for you. In which case, you still should inspect it.
I'd fault 'em for all sorts of things, but I really don't give a shit if it's in tune. If you want it set up, you need to pay money - just like everywhere else. If you're not paying money and they do a setup. they included the cost of a setup in the price.
One thing they do is pay half the value for used guitars - and then price them much higher than they're actually worth. They take damaged guitars, guitars that were returned, and put them right back on the wall to sell to another person. They'll keep doing that until someone finally stops returning it, usually some sucker that doesn't know what a guitar should be like.
Now that shit is offensive... I get why they do it. They do it 'cause they're cheap fuckers and don't want to make insurance claims. They could write that shit off and insurance would cover it.
Ah well...
I hit some frosty leaves on the road, while in a good corner, and snapped sideways. That was kinda fun. I was in the zone and barely left my lane. If you'd been watching from the outside, you'd have thought I did it on purpose!
