No, I have never had a tele or anything even close to that type of guitar

They're a lot of fun. I have one down off the rack and was playing that earlier today.

They always reminded me of Bruce Springsteen in the past and I didn't care for him much so I never played one. But the Stones played one too and I liked them. I think I saw lots of country guys playing them too so in my mind it was a country music guitar. Back in my musical prejudice days

They're great country guitars. They're all sorts of twangy. (Oddly, spellcheck agrees that 'twangy' is a word. Who knew?!?)

But, they're useful for so much more than that. Every guitarist should have a Tele!

If I could only have one guitar, I'd be sad...
