$600 sounds like a hell of a good deal for a whole cow processed.
The previous owner of my house did deer processing. There's a sliding track with a dozen meat hooks on it in my shed
Sorry... That's supposed to be 'half a cow'. There's no discount if you want the whole cow, but you're gonna need multiple freezers for that.
Yeah, mine's hanging right now. We'll let it hang for a few days, maybe a week.

Yeah, that'd be pretty cheap. We try to schedule it (well, they try, I don't do a damned thing) so that someone else will want the other half cow. We can't always do that, so sometimes we're eating beef like five nights a week.
I do have space in one of my freezers and another that has plenty of room (but will be full of venison soon). So, I guess I could put some beef up if needed. I'll take some of my venison into the village. There's an old school that's turned into fixed-income elderly apartments. So, I'll drop off some venison there for them.
