I ran as fast as I could and did not look back until I was safely in the car and from there I could see no gator

LOL It wasn't really much of a close call - but not knowing that at the time means it was more dramatic I suppose.

Gators are positively prehistoric. They haven't changed in eons, according to the fossil records.
