yeah they are just a bit rougher cause they never been touched before I think

Your dead skin will get caught between the winds and make it smoother - at which point the strings will be dead. It's a bit of the price we pay.

But, coated strings eliminate this, so I'll send coated strings next time. In the meantime, be lighter on the strings and you can eliminate that sound. I play new strings pretty much exclusively and you don't hear me squeaking often.1

I just do the pick up my fingers thing, its only certain songs that happens bad enough to bother me

There's a sweet spot and you'll find it. It'll happen naturally, I'm sure.
