I still buy CDs, but I don't think I've bought a DVD since like 2005.
I kinda want to release BDE shows as DVDs, but we don't have the rights to do that. Yeah, we'd get sued and there's no fucking way we'd win that case. We wouldn't win that case with an army of lawyers.
You could release the DVDs if you paid the royalties.
Their CD came out with a special edition that was a 4 disc set with 2 CDs a DVD and a Blue Ray concert.
The DVD is hilarious, it plays like a video game where you are in control of one of the members of the band and the band gets sucked into this escape room kind of thing where you have to find your way back to reality. There is a part where you can play the old street fighter video game as part of the band. The lead guitar player is not sucked in the game with the rest of the band and at one point you may find a crack in the wall and if you start picking at it all of a sudden his dick comes crashing through and its gigantic, and the band members look up and the guitar player is above them looking down into a box he is holding that they are stuck in and fucking it through a hole in the wall, next thing you know you are one of the band members again and you have to avoid being killed by the gigantic dick of the guitar player. Its insanity
You'd think so, but finding all the original rights holders and getting them to agree to a contract would be nearly impossible. Some companies simply won't release the rights. Some companies intentionally won't release the rights so that they can hopefully make more money from copyright violation lawsuits, or so the insiders tell me.
So, sure... In theory we could pay royalties, but in reality that's a non-starter.
Yeah but I think they would release the rights to you! You're theBuddha, a motherfucking Rock Star!
