LOL Birds are really smart, far smarter than we give them credit for. Some of 'em even live a long fucking time. Parrots will often outlive their owners, depending on when they got them.
I admit this is strange, but I know a dude who owns/runs a parrot sanctuary/temporary housing service should you be wealthy, have a parrot, and want to take off for half the year traveling in southern Europe. He makes his living doing this, though he's independently wealthy/lives off a really solid trust from his parents.
I know some strange people, as you've already discovered.
I know a guy who has a parrot, his parrot hates men, but loves women. He will bite any man that gets close enough, and he will cuddle with any woman who he can
On the list of shit I don't want to happen? Being bitten by a parrot. Man, they can crack nuts with their beaks. I do not want one biting me. That's on the list of shit I don't want happening.
This is something I've previously considered and it's surprisingly high on the list of shit I don't want to happen.
I am right there with you, I do not want to experience that. The parrot that guy I know has got hold of some guys bottom lip a month or two ago and just split it right in two, I think he needed stitches
