Truth is on your side
Yes, yes it is.
Seriously... How do you tell your dad, on his deathbed, that you'll do something - and then not do it?
I don't get it. I really don't. My morals are just way too high for that.
Is it just me? When I say I'm really going to do something, I fucking do it - unless something really major stops me from doing so. I know that I'm pretty extreme about this, and I do sometimes reserve the right to change my mind when new factual information is presented, but I do what I said I was going to do.
If I promised something to someone, especially a family member on their deathbed, I'm gonna keep that promise.
If I made a promise to do something on my dads deathbed I would be sure to follow through
Yeah...
I guess these folks aren't like that. He left them multiple millions. Not many, and spread among six people, but it was about two million that he was leaving them, plus some other assets that I don't know the value of. Much of it had been inherited when his mother passed and then the rest when his sister passed - as he was the only heir remaining 'cause she had no family of her own. There would be two houses that would also be inherited by his family and I can't speculate about the value of those, but it's gotta be close to another seven figures with property values in a city.
