Sweet! The strings should still be bright and vibrant, articulate to a fault.
I've often mentioned that I change my strings often, and it really comes down to me loving the sound of new strings - once properly stretched for tuning stability.
I dislike the sound of dead strings. I also like the feel of new strings. If you pick 'em up in bulk, they're less expensive. Even just buying three of 'em will often get you a few bucks off.
I always buy strings in bulk and have extra's laying around in a drawer because I dont want a stupid broken string messing up a jam session with my friends
Yeah, but you bought Donner strings and electric strings for an acoustic!!! (I'm not OCD, but that kinda makes my spine tingle!)
I just learned something new.
"Put a sock in it!" (Telling you to shut up or quiet down) comes from gramophone times. They produced louder records in the 50s and 60s (they were still in use until the early 60s and the 'electric' recorded ones actually sound good) and those weren't amplified by electricity, so they had no sound control. You'd stick a sock in the horn it used, as a way of lowering the volume.
(I'm watching Techmoan right now.)
LoL Makes sense!
