I held a 'great horned owl'. It was kinda terrifying - and I once wandered out into the wilderness with a legitimate plan to wrestle an alligator.

Those birds are way lighter than they look! Aren't they.

I was in florida once at the side of a lake watching an alligator hunt a dick and grab the duck with its big giant mouth when suddenly I noticed one of those bastards on land walking towards me and my woman, we made a run for the car!

While light, they're still pretty solid feeling.

I hope the dick got away!

You can easily avoid a gator on land. They are literally not a threat as long as you stay a good ten feet away. They can lunge maybe five feet on land and they run slowly. Plus, their jaws are at a different angle, meaning you aren't really on their diet.

The thing still scared the fuck out of me. I don't know what distance is safe. It was at least 50 feet away and heading in our direction. That was plenty close for me
