Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I been playing this acoustic and the new strings really make the squeaks between the notes when I am playing the wound strings louder than normal

LOL Yeah, they'll do that. They don't just make the guitar louder, they make everything louder - so be more fluid between changes, press less firmly during slide/changes, and lighten your grip. You are a guitar player, presumably with defined (even if not visible) wrist muscles and hand grip. Lighten up and press less firmly on the strings.

It's kinda like how a loud amp doesn't just make you louder, it makes your mistakes louder.

Some artists never figure it out, so you get that noise in their recordings.

I have to completely remove my fingers from the string when I change notes or the squeak is there, even if I am moving my finger slightly in the direction I want it to go instead of just straight up off the string it makes a little squeak. Taking my fingers off the strings means i have to be ready to mute them with my pick hand if they happen to ring out while im not touching them LoL

It does make this guitar sound real nice. I came up with a cool sounding acoustic guitar like chord riff on it just now that I really like.

Your level of callouses and skin can change that a great deal. Also, it'll go away as the strings get filled with bits of your dead strings. You can get string-glide type of products or just live with it and be more careful

And, the guitar should sound great. They're solid strings.

Remind me, when these start to deaden, to send you coated strings. You don't get that noise with coated strings. I'll eventually ship you some so that you can at least try them.
