Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

Mercedes were here and were exceptionally prompt. They said they'd be here at 13:00 and they were here two or so minutes early, according to the time on my phone. They used the same vehicle they dropped it off with, which is a MB truck (yes, they make trucks - but they're not terribly popular here in the US) that has been converted to a ramp truck/flatbed with a very low ramp (suitable for sport cars with low suspensions).

The driver and passenger had never driven a ONE before, so I drove it up on the flatbed. I signed a few papers and they were off, after a bit of a walk-through to see some of my collection. They appreciated the collection, with some exceptional interest in the MB products - of which I own many.

Am I angry with MB? Yeah, a little. If they make giant mistakes like this one, what else are they fucking up? But, they make some iconic and awesome cars, so I won't be avoiding the brand. I'll just be avoiding that model - which goes without saying and should be relatively easy to do.

I do kinda wish I had a track closer to me, 'cause then I might have said fuck it and driven it around the track a few times before sending it back. On the other hand, I have equally awesome cars already. So, the ONE going back isn't really a huge loss.

They had to appreciate the Benz's you have in your collection. You have some rare Mercedes in your barns

Damned right, I do!

LOL

I've got some of the best examples on the planet. Which, you know, it'd really cramp my style if I was to get mad enough to boycott MB. I'd have to sell some lovely cars. I'd rather not do that.

I did sign an NDA, but I'm not too worried. It was way too generic to be a valid contract. One of the things it claimed was that I'm not allowed to discuss the specifics of our transactions. I'm also not supposed to discuss the financial aspect of our transactions. I agreed to not go to the press. Stuff like that. It was included in the first (or second?) email they sent me and my lawyer said it was fine to sign it and not to actually worry about it all that much.

At the same time, I did sign something and I do like keeping my word, even if that word is more the spirit of the idea.

I can understand them not wanting you to go to the press, but to try to tell you that you can't tell me or one of your friends there what the fuck happened to your AMG ONE is ridiculous
