What did you pull out to replace it the rest of the week with?
A lovely Viper that was already set to go - meaning the mechanics had already gone over it with a fine-tooth comb.

Like others, it was purchased after it crossed the block. Mecum does a lot of that and actually seem to be doing it more often these days. It makes perfectly good sense to do so. The seller often has remorse after it didn't meet reserve and will sell it just to be out from under it so to speak. I've had them agree to my bid price before, not even raising my bid to a higher number. If I really want the car, I really want the car.
This one sold 'cheap'. I like cheap! Every day, it gets more valuable!
Thats a beauty. No doubt about it!
I pretty much stole it. According to the records, I paid 225k (+5%) for it. I suspect that I could put it up for sale and ask for $325k for it. It may take a hot minute to sell, but someone will eventually snap it up to put in their collection.
However, I doubt I'll be selling it. I have three of them. The first one is pretty much exactly what I had many years ago. There's this one that you see here. There's one from a middling year, I want to say 2005, that I own. If I'm selling one of the Vipers, I'm probably going to sell the one in the middle. This one is pretty fuckin' special.
