LOL No... No, I got an email and I have two choices. Mercedes made a huge mistake. Let me start at the beginning...

I ordered my AMG ONE fairly early on, back when they planned selling it in the US.

They changed their mind and are not selling it in the US, due to 'performance' reasons.

I have an AMG ONE. I ordered it before they decided they weren't going to sell it in the US.

I haven't tried to register it, I just threw dealer plates on it. So, I don't know if I could actually register it due to the VIN.

They goofed and shouldn't have shipped it to me - never mind taking it back and shipping it to me a second time.

They sent me a legal notice. I have to return the car, but I think I can agree to not register it and use it on the street. It'd only be allowed on private property - like race tracks.

It had all sorts of legal mumbo jumbo, so I sent a copy to my lawyer but haven't heard back.

They're willing to refund my money AND give me something extra, approximating "fair market value" to make up for their mistake.

Suffice to say, I'm pretty fucking pissed off. This boondoggle of a car program is pissing me off to no end.

I want the car. I don't want the car if it can only be used on the track. Fuck that noise. I'm not paying that much for a car I can't use.

On a more positive note, I could hold onto it for 20 years and then I could 'import' it and register it legally...

Hopefully my lawyer will get back to me soon. I kinda want to go to Germany to punch someone in the face, or break a kneecap.

This car has been nothing but trouble.

On a more positive note, I'll get more than I paid for it AND I got to drive a pretty cool car for a week.

I'd take it out and drive it some more, but it has a black box and they said to not drive it past the date of the order. They'll be able to tell by time stamps that it was driven after the fact. I suppose I could pretend I haven't checked my email...

However, I am kinda pissed and don't really feel like driving it. I should put it out on the lawn and set it on fire.

Whelp... My lawyer advises me to 'take the money and run'. That is to return it to MB and take the money. Otherwise, they might sue me which would waste time and money. I'm not sure how they can possibly win a suit like that, but that'd not stop them from suing me.

I'm gonna get drunk. You should get drunk on my behalf, so that I get double drunk.

Those fuckers better pick the car up on schedule and without any additional hassles. I'm done with this car. This car can fuck right off.
