All but five days out of the month it was impossible to surf. Running a speed test indicated that the speeds were slower than dialup. I was pretty pissed. It kinda improved for a month and then fucked up again, so I've tethered ever since that.

It is currently working just fine. The missus uses it.

She used her phone mostly while the satellite link was down. Me too, but I tethered it 'cause I'm not going to try to do everything i do online with a fucking phone.

So, it tethers and does okay. I get 5 or 6 MB/sec - which is more than adequate for my needs. I can stream video, browse, and download at the same time. Downloads are slow compared to many, but I'm not really in a rush. It works for me, considering I just barely have a cell signal.

On that note, I am up too late and need to get some sleep. I'll be back tomorrow.
