Yeah, they were kinda mad at me.

See, I accepted payment for a 'guest article' that was really not all that topical and served only to link to a couple of other sites.

I didn't realize Google would frown on that like they did, but that has to be the reason because the response from Google was almost instantaneous and I started dropping traffic like mad.

That also was combined with the 'summer slowdown' where all sites get less traffic when it's summer in the northern hemisphere (where most internet users are).

So, it was pretty drastic. I dropped like 17% to 20%.

Things are good now, I think... Traffic is building up again.

Speaking of which, if you happen to visit the site, you should click an ad or two. nods There's actually room for more ad clicking today - as it's only at like 1.45%.

Thank and yeah they penalize behavior they don't like. It could be worse. Bing refuses to index the site at all, which is odd because they loved the original site. I have no fucking clue why and they gave me a useless response when I asked 'em why.

So, almost all my search engine traffic is from Google. Like, 90%+ is from Google.
