Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

Why certainly I can open the thread tonight!

I went to work this morning to a job to repair a no dial tone issue at this house that called in to the company for service, and when I arrived the guy came out on his porch and said, the dial tone is back, you don't have to do anything. So I took a picture of his phone box wiring and had him sign the paperwork and that job was completed. Then I had a company assigned to go to install a dozen new laptops for the users, when we got there, the receptionist told me that all the users when they saw they had new laptops had taken them out of the box and installed them themselves and have been using them for the last two weeks with no issues, so the receptionist signed my work order and that job was complete. What a rough day of work LoL

I hope they still covered your time, at the very least.

Of course. I generally negotiate a flat rate fee for most of my jobs. They will offer something like $50 an hour for up to 4 hours with the budget set at $200. I flat out tell them I will go do the work for the $200 and if it happens to take longer than the 4 hours you pay me $50 an hour for the additional hours. That way when things go like they did today, I still get the $200 for showing up instead of all of a sudden I only get $50 cause the issue has been resolved or whatever. The companies probably do not like that but hell with them. I am not going to drive 30 miles each way and spend an hour working and only get $50

That makes sense to me, though I suspect it wasn't you driving 30 miles...

Hopefully you'll get your car back on the road, along with your bike.
