It looks like they charge your account for one month's payment when you checkout.
So, as long as you can cover one month's payment (and then never use the card again/cancel it/whatever) they've sent you a pricey instrument for a fraction of the cost.
I have no idea how they manage that without it being abused.
Get a pre-pay debit card, put in enough money for one payment, use that card at checkout, and you get a PRS for like a couple hundred bucks.
If you take the 12 month payment plan you can really get one over on them
Right? I'm not the kinda person to do that, but surely there are people who would do that. Hell, I bet a big percentage of people would do that if they were in the right circumstances (like bad credit already).
I don't see how it's sustainable. They've gotta be getting fucked over left and right.
Yeah it would seem to be very easy to rip them off. It's not like they are going to come to your house and demand the stuff back.
And man, this work shit is getting out of hand. I went to go do the job I was supposed to do today, but there were no parts on site. Took an hour for the company to figure out the parts were arriving tomorrow at 10AM so now I have to go back to the factory tomorrow and work for a couple hours, on a Saturday! How ridiculous.
In the meantime as I was waiting around for them to locate the parts, another company called me and they want me to work for three or four days for them next week starting Monday morning. And in the last ten minutes here, I have also been assigned two other work orders for the following week! What the hell is going on?
