Well I invest a lot of my time into writing and practicing and recording all these songs I make up and I don't make a penny from any of it but I do enjoy it and get satisfaction from it so it is well worth it to me.

I don't even want to do the math to find out what I've 'made per hour' from my musicianship.

It's surely pennies on the hour, at best.

And I actually do get paid to play. It's still pennies on the hour.

Oh, if you subtract what I've spent on equipment, it's definitely in the negative - by a very, very large margin.

It's a good thing I can do math. Otherwise, I'd be pretty fuckin' poor.
