Except I painted the pickups black a long, long time ago and it looks much better without that yellow standing out, plus I drilled some holes in it to put a metal snake through the upper point on it. LoL Mine is unique

It's got copies of Dimarzio Super Distortion pickups from the early eighties so it has that BC Rich/Jackson 80's heavy metal tone to it

That's a distinct lack of an answer.

I mean, if you're gonna do anything with the pickups, for like 5 bucks and a crockpot you hate you can wax pot them.

Instead, you go painting 'em black and hacking holes into it. I'm sure you had a good reason at the time. I want to know said good reason.

That's it! That's the one! Some of them had a completely fucking retarded pick guard - like instead of laying flat it was just like the stupid shit you get on a Les Paul - the one that sticks out at the bottom. I have no fucking idea why.

And, I kinda like the color of the one you linked to. I should buy it - except I stopped buying guitars while drunk. No... No... I refuse to buy a guitar while drunk. Trust me, it's a good limit to have.

Why the hell would you pain the pickups? I'm gonna ignore the cutting holes into it part for now - 'cause I'm pretty sure I've tried to get a good answer out of you for that one already.

Mine is that very color, and I painted them black, that yellow just looks hideous to me. I painted them with one of those little bottles of model car paint back in 1983 and it's still on there. Well except where I carved 'sexy' into the paint for some reason. LoL

The holes are there because I wanted them there. LoL I have a snake that loops through them and it's tail hangs out a ways at the end and it's head is just under my hand by the bridge and it sparkles and swings and it looks like no other guitar ever! I think it's cool. That's all that I need. I don't care about it being in original condition cause my improvements make it even ,more original! LoL

Huh... It's an attractive color. I kinda like the 'cream' colored pickups.

The good news is that the paint didn't harm much. The important bits should be fine.

As for the holes and snake - I think the important question is one you already answered. Do you like it? You do! That's the important thing.
