Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I also do spot checks. I get a number of documents, some as often as weekly, and I can verify the sums easily enough.

I confess, I have been pretty lazy about spot checking, but that's because nothing has so far gone unexplained. I have had questions about where my money went when the name of the receiving company is cryptic or the likes (only so many characters in the name field too). So, I've called to ask questions before - which means they know I sometimes verify stuff.

They could still hide it fairly well - for a while. At some point, they'd get caught.

I am not retarded. I do check on 'em now and then. I also get a giant professionally printed stack of paper, all bound and in a binder, that outlines where most of my money goes. I'm pretty good at spending some without keeping receipts - and doing so in cash. That money just kinda disappears from the record as money spent. Fuck it, they'll tax me on it at a higher rate - as sometimes that money is not supposed to be taxed, like donations or business supplies. I fail to write-off a tidy sum every tax period. It's more effort than it's worth and I like spending cash.

You're not the one who is expending the effort!

No, the only effort I expend is in spot checking 'em to make sure the numbers pass the sniff test.

Amusingly, I have no idea what I'm "worth" financially. I never will know, not with any precision. Much of what I own, which includes investments, fluctuate wildly in value.

But, I kinda have a general idea. Which means I'm likely to notice if anything big goes missing.

If they were smart, they'd embezzle under 4 figures at a time. If they walked off with $500 (and worked together as a team), I almost certainly wouldn't do it. That'd be wise of them - but would the three of them work together to embezzle $500? They could probably do it a few times before I noticed. It might even take months to notice, so long as they keep it under four figures and don't make the amount the same amount every time.

They would lose a whole lot of business if they were to ever get caught so I'm sure that's not worth it to them
