Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

That is a damned wide discrepancy

Also, today is Friday.

I have had some spottiness network wise, but should be able to open the thread. Give me up to 15 minutes of leeway before you consider opening it.

The hotel's networking is 'fixed' and the people doing the upgrades are 'done'. The work is shitty. The results are shitty. The connectivity is shitty. The throughput is shitty. Basically, it's a shitty job - and nobody is (as far as I can tell) doing anything more than pointing fingers. One group says the workmanship is shitty. Another group says that the equipment ordered and architecture chosen is shitty. There are probably other groups pointing fingers, but here we are - with shitty results.

I literally get better consistency when connected by my cell phone. I dunno how long they're going to put up with me using my 'unlimited' bandwidth, 'cause I ate well over 100 GB last month - and didn't even start using it until the 11th of March...

The thing should work flawlessly with all new equipment. Even if it's shitty equipment. There must be some error somewhere. I would think they have fiber coming into the facility.

Man last night with all them here we jammed for like 12 hours. Except Verle, he passed out and pissed on my couch, fucker

That'd piss me off.

I don't have anything new for the thread, as I've been pretending to be a new guitar player. Most of the days, I just run rudiments and do things like refine my tapping skills. I don't really play anything.

I think a new guitar player would buy that amp - 'cause they wouldn't have spent another hour digging for specs (eventually found in an eBay listing).

The new guitar player is often an idiot. Buying that amp would likely be a waste of money, more or less. The return policy is that there is none. You can't return it - but you can ask for your money back. That means they're so shitty that the seller doesn't actually want them back to resell if you're not satisfied.

A new player would ignore that. They'd see the 500 watt label and price. They'd then spend their hundred bucks on it and be disappointed when they learned what a good amp sounds like.

So, I'm going to not be a new player in this regards. I'm going to wait until I'm back in Maine and order the LT-25 from Fender. I'm basically pretending the new guitar player actually has invested in a competent guitar instructor who would help them shy away from bad purchases.
