I'd want to be in a singles bobsled, so that I don't fuck it up for other people!
Also, they stack 'em into the bobsled pretty tight. There's a whole lot of groin to backside contact. I'd still do it, but you might not want to get that cozy with other men.
I didn't even think of that. It's going to have to be co-ed
I wouldn't care. Fuck no... I'd be too eager to take a ride in a bobsled.
You know... I could probably find a public track and just go there and try it. It's not like it's going to be expensive. There will be tracks pretty much everywhere they have college programs, world competitions, and where the winter Olympics have recently been held.
Yeah, I just looked. It seems they mostly want you to ride with a professional driver if you bobsled - but you can (it looks like) go by yourself - and you can do luge and skeleton. There's a double luge, where you lay pretty much atop the other rider, but there's no double in skeleton.
So, yeah... The next time I'm near one, I'll go. I'm not seeing any in Maine.
I would think Lake Placid NY would have a track, don't they?
Also...
A 4-man sled can reach speeds of up to 100mph, this means that the athletes can experience around 5 or 6 G’s in some of the harshest corners. Famously one American pilot was made shorter by 3-inches over his career by the forces exerted on his spine!
If he had the G force exerted on his body the opposite direction would he have gained 3 inches?
