Awesome! A 300 SL convertible?
Yup.
I didn't mean to buy it!
It was just too sexy, so I started bidding. I didn't even consider bidding until I saw the damned thing in video. I figured I'd low-ball some bids and see what happens. Sure enough, I ended up with it.
I could fairly easily resell a ton of these for a whole lot more money. It was 1.35 and an upper-limit to sell would be 2m. It's in pristine condition.
Whelp... I now own two of 'em. They're completely different beasts.

The first one, I'm gonna send to Goodwood to be raced. I'm going to enter it into one of those races where they pair you with a professional. I'll let ya know when to watch, 'cause I'm definitely doing this.
This is the fulfillment of a dream...
Also, my collection is getting pretty valuable. I was pondering that... I'm gonna have to have a retail value calculation done, as they're insured not for cost but for replacement cost.
I've also got a bunch that'll get sold. Hell, I still have some that haven't sold from earlier purchases.
(I'm pretty excited.)
Well, damn!
That is one gorgeous automobile!
I got a good price, too.
I've skipped a bunch of cars I was otherwise interested in. I spent a lot of money on just a few cars. I got a beautiful Ford GT. Those prices are skyrocketing now that they no longer make them.
