If I were to get the Supra, I might go all the way back to the Celica days and start at the beginning. I already have stuff that puts 1000 hp to the wheel, and I don't have to risk blowing up 2JZ or worry about N2O. If I want to roast tires, I have a hundred cars that'll do it without breaking a sweat - and without over-boosting an engine to the point where it lunches itself on the pavement.

That said...

If I found one at a reasonable price, done with reasonable quality.... I'd definitely buy it. The 2JZ is legendary for a reason.

I'd also consider getting the new Supra and letting my guys go to town on it. They're very, very capable of being modified and the engine in them is at least as good as the 2JZ.

Finding one that hasn't been 'riced to fuck' is damned near impossible. They're as rare as 30 year old super-models that are also virgins.

They more rare than sober people in Wisconsin.

You can find a ton of them with shitty modifications. The engine is pretty bulletproof and lends itself well to boosting with a turbo or two. I know a bit about them, even though I don't own one, 'cause I'm an automobile enthusiast.
