Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

You can send it now or send it with todays list.

I would assume the new cobra's are made at least with better brakes than they had in the 60's

I think the best ones at least look the part - but you can get 'drum' brakes that actually have disk breaks hidden inside.

I guess if you want it to look like a 60's Cobra. Hell, if I had one from the 60's I would almost definitely upgrade the brakes

I think they may have come with disc brakes. They were meant for racing and they had disc brakes back then.

Lemme check, 'cause I'm not quite an expert.

Yeah...

Prototypes of the AC Cobra all had inboard brakes. This offered the lowest unsprung weight possible. It was a costly system, so Carroll chose traditional disc brakes by Girling.

Of course, those were old disc brakes, so you might still want to upgrade them to something like Brembo's. I'd just recommend keeping the original brakes that came on it stored somewhere, in case you sell it.
