I think they may have come with disc brakes. They were meant for racing and they had disc brakes back then.

Prototypes of the AC Cobra all had inboard brakes. This offered the lowest unsprung weight possible. It was a costly system, so Carroll chose traditional disc brakes by Girling.
Of course, those were old disc brakes, so you might still want to upgrade them to something like Brembo's. I'd just recommend keeping the original brakes that came on it stored somewhere, in case you sell it.
I did not know they had the disk brakes on the Cobras. Inboard disk brakes are great for keeping the weight centered.
Well, it was designed to be a race car - and a winning car at that...
Though, to be fair, I'm pretty sure all race cars are designed to be a winning car.
Hopefully they are designed to be the winning car. It would be pointless to design a car to lose.
