If I were you I might want to hold off until its not illegal with the feds
That's what I've been thinking, but at the same time the feds don't scare me much. So long as I make sure the taxes are paid, I doubt they'll care. Of course, nobody is quite sure how to pay their taxes. Right now, they're just paying as they are regular businesses, complete with paying quarterly taxes and making the checks payable to the IRS. They file for an EISN (or maybe ESN) number as a regular business and just pay their taxes, all of them.
So far, nothing has happened. So far, they've just accepted the money. The IRS has knowingly cashed the checks.
The earlier I get in, the more I can make.
Also importantly, the earlier I get in, the better the situation I can make it for other people and myself.
That could all change in an instant though
Yeah...
And?
What? They take the money?
They're not gonna charge me criminally. That ain't gonna happen. There's too much money involved now. If they were going to do criminal charges, they'd have already done 'em.
I figure I risk completely losing the money - all of it, and maybe any interest on it. Probably as something from the IRS for not declaring it properly.,, Probably - at the worst.
'Snot like I'd be risking time in a federal prison.
Odds seem to be against any of that happening. Federal legislation is going to change, probably leaving it up to the State at first. That's the most likely outcome.
