When I was in jail I got a watch catalog sent in to me and i would carefully tear the watches and bands out of the magazine pages and sell the watches to the other inmates to wear. Just tear a slit in each band at the proper place and connect them around your wrist and suddenly they had bling!

Well, I suppose in jail you've got fuck-all to distinguish yourself - unless you're "lucky" enough to be in a jail that lets you wear your own clothing.

The jail no longer allows a person to receive a watch catalog in the mail

LOL Well, so much for that idea...

I could see them not letting you keep your watch after they book you. They don't really want items of worth in the jail among the inmates, or at least they shouldn't. That's how you get your shit pushed in and robbed. If it were me, I'd leave my watch in my personals - just so I don't have to fight to keep it.
