I do indeed have driving gloves. I have driving shoes. I have entire driving outfits, from full body suits to matching helmets and shoes.
Hell, I have three layer driving outfits just so I meet the most stringent of safety rules - including special socks!
When it comes to driving, I'm pretty well covered. I wore driving shoes today with the Jag, 'cause the pedal box is actually kinda small and the pedals are small, so anything like sneakers would just get in the way. The shoes I prefer are quite similar to wrestling shoes.
I know Jaguar does not leave a lot of room between the pedals, I have seen lots of complaints about that on the jag forums and whatnot groups there are. I don't have any problems with that, maybe I'm just used to it.
I suspect that it's much larger in your Jag than it is in this tiny old E Type. I could probably wear regular shoes, but it's much nicer with the right shoes for the job.
I did not wear driving gloves.
I should wear a helmet, with the top down.
You only need a helmet if you plan to crash!
