His last place probably didn't have these kinds of rules. Ask him about the rules. That'll let ya know how long he'll be there!

I will ask him about the rules next time I talk to him, he has not mentioned them

I assume they explain the rules as well as give him a written copy of them. Maybe they just give him a written copy and expect him to read them himself? That doesn't seem like something he'd be too attentive on.

I'm gonna head out sometime soon. It's getting late here. I've been online pretty much since noon.

He does not have the key or anything yet so maybe they have not gone through all that with him yet
