Welcome to another FNGT! Like normal, we'll go ahead and get you started!
This is just a cell phone recording, lovingly made better by my wife.
I should probably set the stage... It was the 4th of July and we were done working at 23:00. This was probably recorded around 00:15, with a mix of people on the stage in various stages of intoxication.
In fact, at this point, I'm not even playing a guitar. I'm just doing vocals. I'm more than a little intoxicated and doing my Robert Plant impersonation, including singling out women and pretending to be singing to them as we covered this song:
I saw tits. Yes, yes I did.
Also, by then my voice was shot. That's not necessarily a bad then when you're trying to cover Plant.
Rock on!
Damn right, Rock On! Great vocals.
I figured you'd enjoy it and the story behind it. I was well and truly inebriated by that point, but still maintaining. Then again, I seldom drink more than I can while still maintaining.
By the time that song was done, we were basically just having a giant party. In a way, it was a little like my normal 4th of July festivities.
Anyhow, that's my Robert Plant impersonation. I have some other tracks from this past weekend, but none are ready for sharing. They're just one giant file without any editing.
Sounds like a great time. What a way to end a 3-day holiday weekend.
Kicked ass!
Glad ya liked it. That's why our band is so well liked. Though this was technically after the show, where we just had a giant jam session.
Eh, still music
Well that explains your Janis Joplin imitation. There's like 3 singers that sing with that gravely voice. Her, Plant and Rod Stewart. I reckon you sing Maggie Mae, eh?
Anyway, check out this song by Python Lee Jackson, In A Broken Dream. You can probably sing it.
Oh, I cover Rod Stewart. Yes, yes I do. Maggie Mae is a long-time favorite of mine.
I'll check out the song when I get a minute. I'm just recently getting home and I'll have to deal with guests shortly.
That sounded fucking great, was that you singing?
I'm just doing vocals.
Yes. That's me with a tired voice, a bit more to drink than necessary, and generally having a good time on a stage with a large audience.
It sounded awesome to me!
