Aren't you supposed to stop smoking and take the pills to not crave the cigarette?
No, no... You take the drugs, let them build up in your system, then you set a quit date - or you wait until you just stop craving and quit then.
It's not like a nicotine substitute. In fact, there's no nicotine in it. It just aggravates the nicotine receptors in the brain making you think you're smoking.
You're on the drug for months.
oh ok. That's way different than I imagined.
Yeah, it's not like the gum/lozenges, patches, or anything like that. It's quite different in function.
I'd like to stop smoking on the 1st, but I'm actually aiming for the 5th. My problem is (I think) that I always smoke when I first wake up. My bedroom is one of the few rooms I regularly smoke in - the other is my study. So, when I wake up the first thing I do is ingest some nicotine. I have to somehow first ingest a pill and wait for it to kick in.
