Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, click this link (fngt.gq). That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask COF, Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then you can donate.

You don't want to pay more than they're worth - meaning the acoustics. Then again, you should have a pretty good idea of the value, yes?

Having seen/heard your other guitars, the Epiphone Les Paul should be a step up from most of 'em. They're absolutely acceptable guitars, perfectly playable. They can be a little rough around the edges, maybe needing some frets shaped and trimmed.

James Hetfield is in this episode of American Dad.

Yeah, I assume I have a pretty good idea of value.

I figure the epiphone will be just fine. I am going to take the strings off it and make sure the neck is true and maybe even sand down the frets to even if I have to, thats not too much work really. And I was going to put a different bridge on it, one that's adjustable, cause the one that it has is cast and you can not individually adjust the strings. And I do have the same style bridge here that does have the individual string adjustment. That way I can set the intonation better. And once I do that and get the action set right it will be a fine guitar with a slightly different tone than my others.

Yeah, it's an Epiphone. It'll be playable and very much so. It'll have an acceptable tone.

I dunno if I'd change the bridge UNLESS there's a reason to. It's built for the bridge it has. But, if it needs it, it needs it. I'd try it first without doing so - but it's 'snot my guitar! I have probably got a dozen Epiphone guitars in my collection. Somewhere in there... Dunno, really...

Hmm... I actually have a partial list of guitars for insurance purposes, but that list is old. Now I just have them insured for a set value and no longer enumerate them all for the actuarial tables. It's just easier. The insurance company doesn't care, 'cause I pay insurance for the insured value.

I take my first dose of Chantix tomorrow. I'm gonna make the 1st of July my quit day - with the 5th of July being my backup date.

The adjustable bridge I was talking about replacing the current one with is made and marketed as an upgrade specifically for les paul juniors, I got it for the kit guitar that I have yet to assemble.

I have the neck ready to go and I have painted the body white, I just have not yet decided for sure what design I am going to draw on it. I have some black sharpies I plan to draw some of my drawings on it with, and I have cut out sheets of paper and made some practice drawings, but nobody but me liked what I drew, they said it looked too mexican, whatever that means, so I didn't go ahead with it and have not come up with anything else yet.
