If I get the chance I woudl definitely jump at it. The only really special cars I ever get to drive around here are my uncles corvettes or shelby mustang he's got, but even then it's only a five or ten minute spin and thats it.
I do get to drive a Jaguar Vanden Plas when ever I want and I enjoy that. I looked up on howmanyleft.co.uk and there are only 97 of them registered for use on the road in the UK currently. That is fairly rare car. I have no clue how many are registered in the US
I think the Jag market in the US is bigger than it is in the UK. So, maybe more? I don't really know. Sadly, we don't have any uniform way to verify things like that.
And a Jag ain't a bad car to cruise around in. Amusingly, my M6 likely outperforms your uncle's 'Vette or Mustang, unless he's spent some money upgrading them. I think 0 to 60 is like 4.4 seconds, something like that. Actually, it might be 4.2 seconds with the competition package.
How old is the 'Vette?
The mustang was sent to Carroll Shelby brand new for a major upgrade. He's got a stingray, a z1 I think and one of the new ones. The mustang is his wife's, I know he went all out and had them give it full power
Yeah, my M6 eats those for lunch, much to do with modern tech and the giant gobs of power the M6 has. When I take off with the M6, the tires don't spin - unless I want them to. They're fun cars, but a modern car just has greater potential performance.
This doesn't make those shitty cars. No, by no means are those shitty cars.
