Oh, fuck no... No, we've got a stage made mostly of metal. It has giant rods that you pound into the ground with a sledgehammer just to ground it.
But, then we had thousands of watts of electricity running on and around it.
Those grounding rods ain't gonna do a damned good if the stage gets hit with lightning.
Yeah, that is not something you want to fuck around with.
Though if the band were to be electrocuted during the performance, that would be one hell of a show. The people in Maine would be talking about that performance for many years to come
While true, we might not survive it. It'd also be REALLY expensive, 'cause it's going to kill any piece of electrical gear on the stage or attached to the stage.
It's insured, but it'd still suck. We have enough duplicate gear to keep performing while we wait for new gear, so there's that.
This assumes we survive, of course. The stakes we put into the ground go 4' deep. So, that'll help - but not all that much when lightning is involved.
I was assuming that you all would perish!
