That's just social justice. It's not intertwined (necessarily) with any political agenda. Practitioners tend to be left-leaning, but that's not a necessity. They tend to want equality - which isn't a left or right leaning thing.

Before you scoff, social justice warriors are why you have your rights. Without social justice warriors, you wouldn't even have the right of free speech. So, progressives have a point and a value. There's no magic time when society should stop progressing.
