Didn't some state already collect a sales tax on all the vehicles when they were sold new? To tax it again when private parties make a deal just seems extra greedy to me. But yeah, fucking around with taxes is not a good idea, they can come take you away and lock you in a cage. Just got to bite the bullet and pay the bastards
No, I don't pay sales tax in the state where it was purchased. It's paid in the state you live in. It's almost certainly the same way where you live, assuming you live in a state with sales tax.
yeah, I meant the state collects sales tax whn the vehicle is originally purchased new, then collects sales tax again on the same vehicle when the one who purchased it new sells it to someone else
