It is. DMT is more psychedelic than MDMA but they've got some commonalities in effects.

You use MDMA if you want to go clubbing. You use DMT if you want to sit by yourself and have a spiritual journey. They both ebb and flow, give similar euphoria feelings, etc...

They're fun drugs. Ecstasy is awesome. The problem is that most people never tried it. They've only tried synthetics. MDMA is fucking hard to get for the past two decades.

I knew a guy that had lots of that shit about 20 years ago or so. I haven't seen it since then

You need an endangered and hard to get/heavily regulated tree to make it. From about 1985 to 2000 you could get real MDMA. You still can, but it's fucking rare as fuck and you never know what you're actually getting unless you test it.
