I have to pay Maine a 5% sales tax on all of them, even though most of them weren't purchased in Maine. Normally, that'd be paid when you register it the first time. I just pay it separately, when the quarter ends.

LOL Indeed. They've made out like a bandit. That's 50k for every million dollars spent.

If there's one thing I don't fuck around with, it's my taxes. I could pretend to be a dealership or that they're strictly investments, but that's a dangerous game.

Didn't some state already collect a sales tax on all the vehicles when they were sold new? To tax it again when private parties make a deal just seems extra greedy to me. But yeah, fucking around with taxes is not a good idea, they can come take you away and lock you in a cage. Just got to bite the bullet and pay the bastards
