I remember my son showing me a video a year or two ago with one of those teslas doing a quarter mile race against a bunch of super cars and it took the lead right off the starting line

Yup. They're electric motors. So, the torque is pretty much instantly there - all of it. It doesn't have to build up to a torque curve. You just stab the pedal and hold the fuck on. I think my quickest is 3.2 seconds, compared to 2.5 seconds. I have a few cars right around there, including the GT3 RS. 3.2 seconds is fucking quick. 2.5 seconds has to be amazing.

Damned right! How can I not buy one? They're not even all that expensive when you look at the performance you're buying. Shit, you don't even have to do a fucking thing to maintain them.
