The community as a whole gets a lot of lazy fuckers that don't search before asking and don't read the fucking manual before asking questions. That's true across all the Linux sites that I'm familiar with. It's also true with all the Windows sites I'm familiar with. You can answer a lot of questions just by using a search engine or reading the manual.

Quite likely true. I don't experience it, 'cause I'm not the type to ask many questions.
I get great joy in puzzling over a problem and finding my own solution. I suspect that drive is also related to why I suck at retiring. That is, I enjoy a challenge and like to be challenged. I love having to figure something out and learning stuff that nobody else knows.
