They could have made you a felon if they wanted to.

And yeah some women do deserve to be hit, but I just run away anyways, cause it would probably end up with me being arrested even if they hit me first and i hit her back.

Hopefully they just let you make payments on the medical bills

Assaulting a cop usually gets 5 years in prison - at that time. That's what I was looking at.

But, he didn't announce that he was an officer. He just grabbed me by the shoulder without saying anything.

I was paying $500 a month for a long time. I took out a loan against the equity in the house and then paid an extra $500 a month for a long time - 'cause I also had to pay interest on said loan. I paid it off as quickly as I could.

Yeah, and if they were yelling police you would have more than likely not came up swinging, you would have just retreated from the dude you were beating up.
