I take it you lived in a more rural area back then, or?

Ah...

I was actually a city boy. Prior to moving to Maine (family did have a hunting camp here in Maine but I never visited it to hunt and only went a couple of times as a kid) the only things I'd shot were targets and at people who were shooting at me. Or at least shooting in my general direction.

When I was young we could just walk down to the river two blocks away and sit by the shore waiting for the geese and ducks to fly by ever fall. My buddy had a Labrador and we would shoot them over the water and the dog would go get them.

All that area has been over run with development now though
