Hmm... I'd be surprised if you didn't have that there. One of the things I'm familiar with is driving regulations - 'cause it's intertwined with the work I did.

If not specifically, they'll have a catch-all with a name like 'reckless driving' or 'driving to endanger'.

Most states, as far as I know, have elevated punishments depending on speed above the maximum posted limit with jail being a potential penalty if the speed is great enough.

They don't have felony speeding here. Though like you said, they can charge you with reckless driving or endangering safety if they want to tack on more charges, which they probably would if I was doing the speed you were.

Yeah, they've gotta have a catch-all. They really frown on 172 mph.

Hell, I was pretty sure that I was gonna get a ticket and possibly go to jail. Neither of those happened.

You got pretty lucky that day, they could take your license for that I think
