You got pretty lucky that day, they could take your license for that I think

Oh, fuck yes. They could have taken my license (with due process), impounded the car, arrested me, taken me to jail, and charged me with several offenses with at least one of them with a punishment that includes a potential custodial sentence.

I'm pretty sure they mostly just wanted to check out the car, more than anything else. You don't see a lot of McLarens in Maine.

If they stick around long enough, I might just give 'em another chance!

The road is wide, well-surfaced, has great straight sections, has great sweeping curves, and has large sections where there are few houses and little traffic. For entire chunks of the road, the curves can easily be taken in the triple digit speeds.

It's one of my favorite roads that goes to my house.
